Way to go!

My little brother Glen achieved his Eagle Scout! I couldn't be more proud of him for sticking through it. So many people came to see this exciting honor take place and it honestly brought tears to my eyes. It's amazing how few people come to accomplish this huge task of achieving the eagle scout. What an extradinary award! Here are some pictures from the event.

My great uncle Paul gave a speech... it was very touching and I learned alot about his childhood. What a great man he is!

Congratulations Glen! You deserve a huge pat on the back for a job well done. :) I love you bro!

I have been seriously lagging in the blogging world lately. Truth is, I feel like I don't have anything to talk about! Nothing really exciting has happened in the past few weeks to cause me to blog. Well I guess nothing's really happened in the past that's been that exciting anyway but I still managed to blog about it. So nothing new to report.

I guess I can say that my job is super busy. I had to work from 8 until midnight on Tuesday because of a system upgrade. That was the longest day ever. Someone asked me about something that happened that morning and I thought it happened the day before. Then I had to turn around and get to work by 7am the next day. People do it all the time so I'm not complaining. Honestly I feel like so much time is spent at work all I can think about are work experiences. So today we were having a meeting with a group I am in and one person asked how long is that going to take? (basically you're just getting the short version of the conversation) Well the person answering, this is a woman, said basically it shouldn't take very long because we have four people working on it. Then he, our project lead, said well you can have 9 women in a room but that still doesn't mean it only takes 1 month to have a baby! HAHAHAHA! I loved it. Everyone laughed out loud on that one... hopefully you did too or did you just have to be there?

So at least I really enjoy my job and I am very thankful for that. I'm thankful I even have a job for that matter. I get to travel back to Wisconsin on Sunday for a Training Advisory Council. Oh so exciting! I'm going by myself this time though so that'll be different. I do have some great girls to go out with while I'm there though so I'm sure that will be fun. It's kind of funny I've been to Madison, I think this will be my fourth time?? Yet I haven't really seen much of the city. I think it's smaller than Columbus, although I could be completely wrong. Anyway I'll be gone for 4 days. I'm definitely not looking forward to being away from Matt. He's been traveling SO MUCH lately. I really miss him.

Personal life is good, I can't complain! Like I said Matt has unfortunately been traveling a lot lately but I manage to occupy myself. I've got my pooches and great friends to keep me company. :) We're planning a trip to California here in less than a month. I'm super excited about it. We're going with a fabulous couple, Kathy and Jonathan. Luckily we were able to find super affordable flights and a free place to stay for most of the time we're out there! How great is that?! We plan to check out San Fran, they've never been, as well as a little bit of Napa, as well as Lodi. We're also going to take a cave tour, which I am SUPER excited about! We're going to be about 2.5 hours from Yosemite as well so we planning to go hiking a day or two. Overall I feel it's going to be a fun, relaxing, yet entertaining trip. I'm sure I'll take LOTS of pictures and I definitely plan on sharing them!

So that's it for now! until next time....
